I have 2 Allegany Viburnums but want them to have lots of berries. What other type will work with Allegany and flower about the same time.
Bought a Allegany Viburnum.. What other vibs work with it??
Either of the parents of Viburnum x rhytidophylloides 'Alleghany' will work. That includes Viburnum rhytidophyllum and Viburnum lantana. You could also use another Viburnum x rhytidophylloides like 'Willowwood'. I think Viburnum x pragense also overlaps in bloom time with 'Alleghany'.
I was looking at Mohican or Cardinal Candy??
Cardinal Candy™ is a Viburnum dilatatum; that will NOT work.
'Mohican' is a Viburnum lantana. That is a good choice for cross-pollination.
