It seems most of us are getting lots of much needed moisture. We got 2" last night. I'm sure it was more like 4" or more at the cafe' & the winds were strong. GOD put on a good power & light show for us. Sheila said one clap of thunder was so strong it shook the whole house & sent every cat and dog into her room whining and seeking shelter under her bed or covers. I saw one pattern of lightening so powerful it left a trail in the sky even after it had gone.
Sheila is stuck at 212#. I told her to drink lots of water to flush out the fat cells. She drank no coffee yesterday so she has a bad headache this morning. She usually drinks a 12 cup potful daily. It wasn't the roller that got her foot, it was a sheet of thick steel buried in the soil where she was weeding. The roots of a hollyhock we wanted to remove had grown under it so she was trying to move it. GOD is so good. She was walking tenderly last night and much better by this morning. That has taken a miracle as badly as it was crushed(but no bones broken). She says she told GOD there is just too much to do around here for her to be laid up in bed with an injured foot.
I'm stuck at about 122# - 125# which isn't too bad. I do need to be more diligent about my stretches & other exercises. I think I get in all the walking my hips will handle at work & shopping.
I have a couple hours of work to make up this afternoon. I went in late yesterday because I was just exhausted. I just laid in bed until about 10:30. That was after I had gotten up & ready for work. I realized I couldn't even drive the van safely much less work when I got there.
I need to spray the house for fleas the dogs have brought in from the outside. I should also spray the outside parameters of the house and an edge of the yard around the house to see if I can stop some of that problem. The ants have been worse this year that I ever remember having them. I think they are under pretty good control now but we still one once in a while.
We need to box up that new dehumidifier that doesn't work so I can take it back to Sears when I go in to work today. Kris gave me one that does work & we have it in the basement.
With all this rain I have no idea when the kitchen floor will get cut as he has to roll it out all the way to cut it to shape. Unless we can put down a tarp on the outside of the garage and do a lot of cleaning up of the garage floor for that we will have to wait for the grass to dry before he can do it. Maybe he can lay it out upside down so the back stays dry & do it. There isn't any pattern & it is one huge sheet so that shouldn't be a problem. I am so tired of the 'fridge being in the hallway, the microwave & silverware in the living room, the food mostly in the plant room & the storage containers in the dining room. I can walk 1/2 a mile trying to prepare, serve, & clean up after a meal. The bathroom drain still leaks somewhat & the sink still drains very slowly. I keep telling him we are going to have to recut the top of the counter but he is determined we aren't going to do that. The leaks soaks a good bath towel every day.
i need to stop whining and get a move on. GOD bless & keep each of you.
