Helix snails in Arkansas?

Hello! I've been told I should post here, after posting to two 'wrong' forums. Please forgive me if this was wrong, too! I was wondering if Heli snails have made it into Arkansas, yet, and if so, where? I've never seen them in person.

Are you referring to Helix aspersa, the brown garden snail? If so, this snail is under quarantine status in Arkansas - see http://nationalplantboard.org/docs/arkansas.doc
You might try contacting the Arkansas State Plant Board (http://www.plantboard.org/) to see if they have any records of any interceptions of this species.
