For Lily People who are also daylily people - B&D Lilies

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

I just got an email message that they are discontinuing selling lilies and are closing out their stock. So there is a sale:

This is posted on the website:

We are currently “counting noses” in the field in preparation of our final upload of daylilies. Spring/Summer 2009 will bring you our greatest sale ever as we close out the daylily field.

After over 3 decades of digging clumps that often run over 40 pounds each, we have reached a point in our lives where our backs are letting us know it is time to shift gears. Closing down our Daylily (Hemerocallis) production will allow us more time to concentrate on dozens of new bulb lily (Lilium) selections from the cutting edge breeders, plus step up propagation of rare and exotic tropicals from Dianna’s private collection.

Thought I'd let you know.

The excuse I used - "Do you have any idea what a great bargain this is from one of the most respected plant suppliers in the US?" It worked!!!
