Black-throated Blue Warbler not a very good photo, but it was my 1st. sighting of this bird, pic is from about 10 days ago. I also have some charts i keep on my desktop to help identify warblers, hope there ok.
Warbler Sightings
Looks like they might once have been fairly good, but they didn't use colourfast ink and they've faded in the sun! I've seen that happen all too often with signboards on reserves . . .

Nice charts Burd! Where did you get them?
Those charts are nice to have! Can you update the photos to ones with the true colors?
I took pictures of the charts from Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge "about 30 miles east of toledo along lake erie"...they are in a glass case and probably have some sun damage for sure... maybe next year they will replace them and i can get a better pic, there not to bad they have helped me with a couple id's.
It may not be glass, could be plastic coverings on those. Every spring the refuge put's on a birding exhibition with tents charts etc... i may take a trip back out there this weekend and get some better charts that they may have on their pamplets.
Sibley's has a page like that if anyone is interested in getting that book.
That's a good one better!!
HA! Clearly did NOT read the sign!
Mrs Ed..... no, he's not afraid of snakes.... I had to put a fake snake & sign there cuz everyone kept teasing me about getting snakes if I had a pond. ... I haven't seen one yet.
Thanks Pell... that one had me running to my bird book... that was a first for me.
One more for me today, a Marsh Warbler, which is a scarce visitor to Britain from further east in Europe (strong east winds yesterday!). No photo, unfortunately (but it isn't very spectacular to look at anyway, fairly uniform pale buffy-brown all over). The song was worth hearing though.
Brings my 2009 warbler total to 12 species; should get a couple more in the autumn.

I have not been out as much this spring so have only had a couple of bad shots of a common yellothroat and an NOID that I have deleted.
I have a warbler bum photo!
I've seen about 6 in the yard this year. Only the Magnolia and Tennessee could be photographed so no idea what the others were.
I have only gotten one shot of a Yellow Warbler and a quick look at a Common Yellow-throat and that is all!! I'm like you Nanny...have been working in the yard and not going out to actually look or listen for them (not that I know what they sound like)!! LOL!!
