Link to Your Very First Thread after Welcome

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I sometimes go back over the years to compare growth in my garden. Perhaps this has been done previously, but what is the link to the very first thread you started on DG - after you did the welcome thread?

Here is mine:

Boy I signed up in April 2006, but didn't start a thread until July!! I don't have any of this any more...LOL

I still can't really find a regional forum that works for Indiana. We are plopped here in the middle of everybody else.

Oh boy, what fun! I had to go back and see what my first one was. Here it is.

Quoting:
Shower with cold water for two hours; if the patient does not show signs of life, put salt in the water, and continue to shower an hour longer.

Now that is funny and you know I too have my g grandmother's cookbook and it is quite fragile and has the same kinda stuff in it. Now will have to get it out and revive your original thread!

How is the stand of bamboo now? I bet it is huge.

It did get huge and it isn't bamboo. It's giant reed grass. We eventually had to pull it all out as it was spreading into EVERYTHING!!! LOL

This is what the area looks like now.

Well, I don't think I ever found the welcome thread, I just started looking around, trying to find a name for this plant. My first link on Daves was this one!

These are really interesting to read, some of the old ways they did things years ago!

And a learning experience as I had never heard of Duranta.
