I sometimes go back over the years to compare growth in my garden. Perhaps this has been done previously, but what is the link to the very first thread you started on DG - after you did the welcome thread?

Boy I signed up in April 2006, but didn't start a thread until July!! I don't have any of this any more...LOL

Now that is funny and you know I too have my g grandmother's cookbook and it is quite fragile and has the same kinda stuff in it. Now will have to get it out and revive your original thread!

How is the stand of bamboo now? I bet it is huge.

It did get huge and it isn't bamboo. It's giant reed grass. We eventually had to pull it all out as it was spreading into EVERYTHING!!! LOL
