CLOSED: Honeysuckle cutting covered with bugs

It appeared to be insect free and healthy when I took the cutting. Now it is covered with these little bugs.
What are they and how did they get there? How do I get rid of them?

Here's another picture to show how thick they are. I first thought it was a mold or fungus, but they're all bugs. Yuck!

They look like aphids happily sucking on the honey suckles tender juices. Very soft squishy bodies you can mash with your fingers or even a paper towel folded softly. They are easy to control. I use diatomaceous earth during dry weather along with either a neem oil spray or soap water spray depending on the mood. They all work effectively and I do the entire yard at a time to get them all done. Either method works great indoors as well.

I can't really see anything unusual in this image - can you take a close-up of the black critters?
