Saint Petersburg, FL

I live in central florida and I just moved into a new apartment in january. I noticed these little buggers when i just moved in but thought it was nothing, but they dont go away. THey are usually on my walls here and there, but recently they been on my furniture. I have a dog BUT I just got him about 2mths ago so it wasnt him who brought them, but I'm afraid they may harm me or my dog. PLEAAASE help me findout what bug this is =/

Its about 3.5 mms long and my phone cannot take a good pic because it is so small... but i drew a picture of it. it almost looks like a beatle, but it has some kind of point thing on the head.

Yea it almost looks like that... but this is REAAALLY small... sorry I cant take a picture where you can actually tell what it is

Too many legs for a beetle! If it has 8 legs and is very small it should be a mite!

Or a tick?

A tick is far more likely than a mite, but you really should try to locate someone with a digital camera in order to take a clear photo that you then could submit.

My guess is that it's a mite - their mouthparts give them a 'pointy' appearance like that. (example: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/MEDLINEPLUS/ency/images/ency/fullsize/1245.jpg)
