We have had beautiful holly bushes for the last 5 years. All of a sudden all of the leaves have turned brown and have fallen off. Not sure what happened. Had a bad ice storm and lots of snow over this past winter. Could it be winter kill or could I have over fertilized them.

G'Day,
I know nothing about Holly or ice storms but you can easily over fertilise with artificial fertilisers particularly the high nitrogen content ones. Ask yourself if you might have been too enthusiastic with Nitrosol or similar.
