CLOSED: Insects huddled around a nest on a tree branch? ant/spider?

Belton, MO

I was out trimming some tree branches in my yard today. I noticed these guys huddled around what looks like a nest of some sort attached to the underside of a branch. It looks like they have 6 legs, black body with a red abdomen they hold up into the air. What are they?

They look like newly hatched wheel bugs, Arilus cristatus - the round things are the eggs they hatched from. They will get much bigger and eat other insects.

I believe you are right Claypa! Thank you!!!
