Anyone near Santa Barbara fire?

Hoping everyone stays safe. Can't do much from here but send prayers and good wishes north for everyone.

And I'll send some good wishes south...I've seen pictures on the news and it looks really bad, I hope any DG'ers in that area are staying safe.

I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to firemen, police, medics and victims in that area. It's still not looking good.

One of our parrots was hatched/raised there and I keep thinking of all the animals - wild and pets - that necessarily cannot always be on the top of the priority list. :-(
Those blessed firefighters and others who do those tough jobs deserve all the good thoughts we can muster up.

Too early for fire season to begin. Or did it ever end last year?
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who are affected.

This photograph was taken about 3:30 pm on Wednesday, about an hour and a half after the fire started. Looking north towards the Santa Ynez Mountains from State Street in Santa Barbara. Of course it got a lot worse after this.

Also, the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden suffered significant damage, including the partial destruction of the redwood grove and a historic house, from the fire.

Lorien, that is sad news. I was just looking at a map of the fire and it's so close to the ocean.
