Congrats Cody, while different growing condition yield different result. Mine when I got seedpod in Sept. By the following Dec. they were ripe for me. When the seedpod is ripe, the stem will turn straw color to light brown, that's when I harvest them and break open the seeds and went to town -- so to speak. Have fun.

Thanks Lily_ love,i think i pollinated all 9 flowers.I will have 9 pods. The fun begins.

Nice, as you've noticed. Until the pods are rippen and harvested. Most all energy the plant has is directed to nourishing the seeds, instead of making new flowers. Are you giving your pregnant brugs routine fertilzer regiment?

When you harvest, don't worry if some of the seeds are white. Plant 'em anyway. I've had tons of white ones sprout. Just make sure to keep them moist, not overly wet.

Thanks Lily_love,i do fertilzer her.

Angelgirl, how did your seeds turn out?

Ft Myers, FL(Zone 10a)

I wait until the pod itself turns brownish in color and the penducle holding it also browns very well.

I have been asking that question for ever. This is the first time it has been answered... Thanks Bunches! Rhapsody

You're quite welcome. Currently I've a green seedpod that's nearly ripe. When the pod is ready to harvest. I'll be glad to share pics. Have fun gardening everyone.

Do share DO SHARE!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I'll I'll share photo of a ripe seedpod. It's rewarding to harvest the success of our seedlings. This is an example of mine. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1274510/ Back in 2007-2008 when I first discovered the fun of hybridyzing brugs. I hand pollinated many, this was one of the offspring that I was rewarded.

Beautiful brug?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda Kay, the same brug. is sitting in the green house awaiting to return outdoor for the growing season. As soon as Peacan trees leaves sprout in our area, I'll take the plant out side, and see if it needs root prune and re- potted. I'll need suggestion to name this beautie for 'she' needs a name, lol.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

She looks like a beautiful peach color!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Okay, a name for the beautiful peach brug. ..... ^_^

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Peaches and cream?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda Kay, but Peaches and Cream is already a name of another variegated cultivar. I do have to appologize for hijacking the thread. Cody, how are you doing? The seedpods progression?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No worries about hijacking the thread.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Linda Kay, I'm concerned about Cody. Anyone heard from Cody?

Kim -Cody left a long time ago I think, she came in to say goodbye to us in the Aussie threads.
She may have come back but I haven't seen her.I think she left about three or four years ago.

Have fun naming your lovely bloom ...it's half the fun !
Maybe after someone you love.

Oh Chrissy, thank you for the news about Cody. Best wishes to fellow gardener that has moved on. And thankful for those like you that remain. Such great idea on naming the brug. Once I do so, I may start a new thread. Happy gardening all.
