I've been told I don't need to fertilize my trees on my lawn if I'm feeding the lawn as I do 2-3 times a year. Is this true?
In lawn fertilized area I have Magnolias, Fig, Sweetgum, Oak, Yopawn (sic?) & Crepe Myrtles.
Do You Fertilize Trees On Your Fertilized Lawn?
No, and I know the lawn hasn't been fertilised in over 40 years either (but is just as green as ever). Unless the soil is exceptionally poor quality, fertiliser isn't necessary.
