Is this a Rambur's Forktail? (ischnura ramburii)
Found it today at a pond here in S.C.
If so, I'd like to add it to Bugfiles, as there are no photos of this one yet.
If not, would much appreciate an I.D. :)
Many thanks~!

CLOSED: Damselfly I.D. please
It certainly looks like one (see http://tinyurl.com/cprtv3), but not being an expert on this group, I would hesitate to give a 100% endorsement based on a single image.
I've posted this over on Bugguide.net. No answer there yet for certain, either.
I can't find another that's found in this area that looks like this, so for now, going to assume it is Rambur's.
I'll leave the thread open another day or two, just in case.
I'd also wager that it's a forktail (genus Ishnura).
Again, I cannot speak as an expert on this group, but based on examining a wide array of other images, I believe that Ischnura ramburii is the most likely identity for your specimen(s)
Thanks, folks!
