What a kewl thing to say.
I am extremely flattered.
Thank you for that.

This awesome beauty
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6516763

is not Cocoa Chocolate.
But, holy smokes is it awesome.

I haven't seen Cocoa Chocolate throw out any sports at all of what I have grown, so I'm wondering if you do have one that possibly did cross. Either that, or I sent you a stray seed. I would love to see more photos of that one and maybe we can figure out at least what it came from.

Emma, the Cocoa ChocolateNOT pic that I posted above was my absolute favorite of the seeds I grew out in 2007 from your gift of seeds.

Soooo, regarding this post - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=6520580 - where you said you'd be interested in figuring out where this Cocoa ChocolateNOT came from - do you still have the disk I included with the seeds I grew out and sent back to you? There are pictures I took of each flower that show what the offspring of each seed I grew from you and others looked like.

If you don't have the disk, let me know and I'll post the pics here.

Cocoa ChocolateNOT came labeled as Hamaginga, and its sibling vine was a medium blue with decolored crest and a darker phase.

Oh! Also, Cocoa ChocolateNOT produced both dark and light colored seeds in 2007. When I grew them out in 2008, the light seed produced the Cocoa ChocolateNOT that I loved again, and the dark seed produced the darker phase (I did not see that decolored crest pattern again in 2008). This is a mg that takes more time than others to produce seed, so unfortunately, in 2008, I did not get any seeds from the more desirable light-seed vine. But I kept a couple of light seeds from 2007 and am hopefully growing those out. You received some light seeds in that package I sent you, in case you'd like to grow some for yourself.

If you suspect I might have any other pertinent info rattling around in my cranium that I might have forgotten, ask away.

I'd love to have a name for this one.

Sorry I missed it.....hope it was a happy day!

It was a great day for me, Thanks!

Yes, I do have your WONDERFUL CD. Thanks so much again - It is absolutely superb!
I have it in my 'to do pile' for next week to see which seeds I want to grow this year that you so generously shared with me, and I will be sure to pay attention to the MG you grew as well as grow seeds. Then we can compare notes. It is a great MG.

least I could do - you certainly sent DH & I on an other-worldly voyage of flowers, morning after morning in the summer of 2007...'course, what with all the other enablers around here, I don't see an end to that voyage

Thank you -
And, isn't it 'Fun Sailing'!
