It's a loss of a wildlife lover and advicate. He use to speak about wildlife issues at the end of an outdoor TV show we watch.

Today was a day that will live in the memories of all NASCAR fans. I love the sport, and got hooked when I saw my first race on tv. I was a Davey Allison fan. Even though he also suffered a tragic loss, the sport carries on.

NASCAR is a super tight-knit family. Although the losses of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin are still fresh in the mind, our hearts bleed a little more with the passing of Dale Earnhardt. I watched the man in black today, and realized what him and his son were doing for Michael Waltrip, and I felt a surge of respect for the man.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, and his 4 children. Dale Earnhardt will not be forgotten.

May God bring them peace.

Wow, Dale...dead. My husband is a big Nascar fan and we watch every race. We've never been big Earnhardt fans but I have always had a lot of respect for him as a driver. Yesterday, watching him hold back so that Michael Waltrip and Dale, Jr. could rack up their wins, I was telling my husband that this looked like a turning point in his career. Things change when you become an owner and not just a driver. Right after that he hit the wall and I had a sinking feeling that my words had been prophetic. I wish I had not spoken them...

My husband and I are still in shock, we are big nascar fans and even though he was not our driver of choice, you either loved him or not, It broke my heart to hear of his death. All my prayers go out to his family and his fans, i dont know what i would do if it would have been my driver, we just need to remember that dale died doing what he loved best. He was nascar!!!, watching this weeks race will be hard knowing the #3 car wont be there.
