Quail Botanical Gardens

A reminder.....for those who don't know, or like me, never remind yourself in time.....tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the month and that means that Quail is open free of charge (parking $1).....I finally remembered at an opportune time and will be going tomorrow. If you've not been to Quail...it's a good time to go.

OK, I put it on my calendar so I'll get a reminder. Haven't been for years. Thanks.

Me too Roberta. And I'm taking my granddaughters tomorrow, after picking in the strawberry fields.

Free would have been nice, but oh well!!

Oh well! Have fun!!

There is always next month, and it's easier to take photos without an entourage!

Loved the Day Lillies.

I'm a big fan of succulents, especially Agave. This variegated one will blow your mind just looking at it. (or is that just me?)

I took over a hundred pictures, but I'll only post a few.

Children's Garden entrance.

The textures and colors in this succulent bed are just phenomenal.

I got caught up in the moment and bought a membership. I'll save money over the price of admission in order to see it all. I can't imagine you could see everything in less than 6 visits, probably more.

I could live there too!

Didn't know Quail Gardens was free the first Tuesday of the month. Went there a few months ago and loved it.
Bought some plants too. Thanks the "for heads up". Plan to go there again on some first Tuesday of some month soon.

P.S. Lived in lovely Fallbrook and started kindergarten there some 60 (wow that long) ago.

I went last Tuesday! Gotta tell ya...it was good to save the $$ but this is also the day when ALL the moms with little kids, strollers, etc go as well! Nothing against moms and strollers, I have little one too...but if you're looking for a PEACEFUL stroll in the gardens, do not go on free day! lol!

Well, Sylvia, you do know it's changed just a bit since 60 years ago, huh? LOL...we've been here 26 years and the changes are huge. How long did you go to school here? We just came through Hemet...didn't you see me waving? Took a run up to Idyllwild today.
Rob, the last time we went on a Tuesday, there were indeed the Moms and strollers, but not many at all.
