OMG What is this?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I found this picture whilst searching for something else .. it says Ipomoea aquatica but I can't find another picture like it!

I can`t see enough of the plant to really tell. Are there any other pictures? Aquaticas do occur in the white with the fuschia throat. That picture being so up close and clear is rare indeed because most of the aquatica pictures I see are further away and blurry next to that one. They come in white,a purple and the white with the darker throat to mention a few I have seen.

Well it is definitely yellow with the red throat.

That is awesome. Why not ask them if they trade seeds?

X,
I got some seeds from Beth if you would like some, I can split them, they are about 2 years old. I've not grown these before, I think Beth and a couple of others here have though, don't know if they got flowers or not.

They yellow with the red throats? Yeppers indeedy! I love some seeds! This one hit me like the Stictocardia which is now showing in Vines and Climbers. I shade my eyes, that color drives me wild. What can I send you? Here is my seed list:

Oh, I love the way your trade list is... I don't have a list, but if you have seen any that I have, I can include some at the same time. D-mail me if you would like any others and I'll get them out on Wed, our anniversary is tomorrow and we are going to be gone all day.

I'd love a couple of your Blue Picotee x minibar either the F2 or F3s, which ever you can spare a couple.

I'll be happy to send you some of both. These are seeds from the Messenger morning glory, remember that? So there is no telling what you might get. All I ask is that you send me some back later and a picture or two of the weirder looking flowers.

Karen, I didn't see anything regarding Joseph in there... where is it?

Alrighty, will do.

The link wont show the page. This lady has the Ipomoea Horsfalliae. Look in morning glory (set) I see Beth on there too.

X, I`m going to be putting up some trades of tested seeds. I held on to mine so I could test grow first to make sure they look ok before I trade them. So, don`t give up on me I`m trying to do this right.

Click on AussieSalviaGal`s photosteam them click on morning lgories 58 items and the bright red flower on the far right is it. Click on that and it will open into Ipomoea Horsfalliae and you will see Beth and Joseph.

Mine were the violet color, but they did bloom.

This was the white variety. I wonder if the white crossed with the purple in the original thread photos?
