Toronto Spider ID help needed

I've spotted this guy twice in my basement apartment. I don't think I've ever seen a spider this size here in Canada.

Any ideas what kind of spider it is?

This does not look particularly like a Hogna spp., but I cannot see the eyes clearly enough to confirm that it could be a wolf spider. Another possibility is that it might be a hacklemesh weaver (family Amaurobiidae), such as those in the genus Callobius - see http://tinyurl.com/d63mte for an example.
