Good morning ~
I know you are a vet, so I have a question that perhaps you can help me with ... on Thursday, my husband began putting little things in order. Now, he is normally a very orderly person, doing a thing the way it should be done and for the right reasons, and taking good care of all his possessions (someday I may relate the story about folding t-shirts when we 1st got married). So, ordinarily, I would probably not noticed any extra activity in this area. And he hasn't actually touched anything related to his military career (other than dust his boots, but he does that anyway). So I am hoping I am just paranoid. We've been married just shy of 14 years, though, and there is something to be said about a woman who can put up with a Marine for that long and her intuition. ... how old is too old to re-enlist?
Thanks.
Karla
? for Byron
I think it's somewhere in the 30's that is the cut off. I'll check.
For me its been too many years,
The best I can recall it was around 35 plus the years active duty.
In my day, Commissioned officers could be recalled until
they were 65.
But these rules are 40 years old..
and during a potential conflict. Berlin Wall.
My Brother in law is also a Jarhead, in his 60's and has
had a major brain stem stroke, He was looking for his military stuff too..
I think unless your hubby was in active reserves, he's too old.
Best I can do
Byron
Good morning ~
Thank you, gentlemen. DH is several years younger than I, and spent 10 years with the USMC, so maybe he still qualifies? I recall him mumbling a few years ago that he only had a few years left to re-enlist, and did I want to be a "real" USMC wife again... MartyBoy1, you needed really check. I was just wondering 'cause it was 3 a.m. on a Saturday ;-) I'm believing by the time I get home on Monday, my DH will have told me the "official news".
Awsome the kind of men this country has, who would serve her with so much heart.
Thank you.
Karla
