CLOSED: Spider like with a fluffy tail

York, PA(Zone 6b)

I noticed leaves of my hoyas being 'burrowed into' from the underside but rarely does it result in ahole thru the leaf.
Here is this little guy...he actually ran to the underside of the stem when he saw me trying to take a photo?

Another view...almost 1/4" tall and longer with the white tail?

This appears to be a nymph of a treehopper (Hemiptera/Auchenorrhyncha: Membracidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/dmn8qb for an image of a similar species. Treehoppers are sap feeders, but seldom are abundant enough to cause serious damage. I suspect that something else is causing the damage to the leaves of your hoya.
