Sept. 11th Fund

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

An e-mail was sent to all employees at work today. United Way is setting up a fund called "The Sept. 11th fund". 100% of money donated to this fund goes to help those affected by the tragdies on Tuesday. The administrative costs are being underwritten by a bank. My company is matching dollar for dollar any money donated by employees to this fund. Check with your employer, maybe others are doing this, too.

I havent heard anything about the UW helping out...I would have thought with as large as they are they would have made a show. Just a thought. Only a very small percentage actually goes to where it is needed. I cant imagine that they would change now. Be careful...the Red Cross it there and in full force, that is where I would put my donations.

Our company is doing the same thing.
The donations are going to the Red Cross
and the Salvation Army to aid the firemen
and others helping at ground zero. Every
where you look(TV, radio, etc) they are
taking donations. I'm glad to donate,
wish I could do more!
Sandy
