I'm new to growing morning glories. I have one that come back and takes over the garden every summer. This year I wanted to grow from seed. I have a young plant that I think is ready to go in the garden. I have an arbor that I want to grow these seedlings on, but it starts about 15" above the ground. What should I use between the ground and the arbor to get the young plants climbing?
Thanks. Sarah
What do you grow your MG's on?
Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the MG Forum...(!)
You could use bamboo canes / stakes , chicken wire , twine or anything like branches from any trees or bushes...there are many materials that could act as a bridge for the relatively small gap...

Hi Ron,
I had thought of using twine. But sticks are a good idea since I have many of those. I thought chicken wire might have openings that were too small. I have the same situation for some climbing nasturtiums and decided chicken wire wouldn't do. Thanks for the suggestions.
Not like I need another addiction, but I can see that might happen because there are so many beautiful MG's. I think I'll have to spend more time here so I can learn about them.
Sarah
