Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well ipodding along....I do have a morning apoi tment for restoration of my connections. The folks down stairs had an apointment today but My service is still out though.
So. I'm tho king there should be more winners. Perhaps of just what I want to send. I ll have to figure it out when Im back better

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

so sorry to hear about your connection problems... so very rude of someone to mess up everyone like that ... especially without warning so you could get arrangements made before the loss. Hope you get it taken care of soon... I understand the "mini messaging" is a pain unless you are one of these kids now days that lives on their blackberry or some such device... personally, I love my PC and even avoid the laptop whenever possible.. just love the BIG keyboard and screen!

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

Congrats to the winners !! Thanks for the contest. I got a lot of smiles from it :) Hope the cable gets back on soon. I bet you are having fun with the iphone though :P

Kansasville, WI(Zone 5a)

Hi Wallaceone...yes I'm another Wi brug lover. I am hooked on these plants.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well..what a relief..back online.. cable TV..and my vonage phone ..they had fixed the buildings/neighborhoodsproblem... a few days ago..then they never plugged me into the new working block..
thecable guyeven brought up apackage for me..a red sang.. I Can barely remember ordering one...must have been many months ago.. as the red sang seedlings I have of this one I have are about 4 times the size of this one sent into me..I bet some of the leaves I have on my sang... are bigger than this plant... but what a guy... to deliver it for me...
OK.. where's the wisteria photos ...to start with..

oh, they are so beautiful! tell me, what do I have to do to get a piece of that? adoption fee/postage/ 3rd child, just what?

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

here's another ..OT but requested picture..

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

What a beautiful Wisteria and a great shot of the NY skyline.

If I had gotten a Sang in the mail delivered by the cable guy, my DH would have gone nutso, Course I wouldn't have to tell who delivered it, would I. My CRS could be the problem especially since I didn't remember ordering it.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well.. Tiger...There might be seeds of it about.. from last year.. I cut a new young vegative limb off today.. it had grown into the vent on the skylight of the hallway.. and down through some of the glazing channels out the bottom of the skylight.. in no time at all it would have lifted the entire skylight..right off the roof.. I can dig it out and send it to you for sprouting... it's in a rampant growth phase so it might work.. and give flowers faster than seedlings.. do you root cuttings..
this vine was in a clients garden.. and he wanted it out of there... thinking it didn't bloom.. they had these two lovely young lady gardeners managing the growth aspect of things.. I tried to talk them out of it.. saying I could turn it around for them... to noavail...and to my ultimate benefit..
well here it is again... if the subject is still getting play... also .. you can see the cool room / greenhouse is down.. and in it's place the green 40% shadecloth is visable on the right side of the photo..

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

What a fun contest. Congrats Clem!
I was out of town and just catching up. I think that the little Garden Gnomes get in our basements and GHs over winter and create more plants. Last Fall I gave away all my cuttings to make room for the 20 new ones I bought. LOL

Betty

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Thank you Betty, now I am just tapping my toes until Mr. GH tells me what I won, lol!

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

From his pictures I would think you can't go wrong with anything you win from Mr GH

Hey trouble maker Mr. GH, I want something that will bloom this year, you tell me now, lol! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you are making hard on me, haa haa!

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

Oh Gordon what fun. Just surprise me. I don't think Aborea can take our heat. I raised two from seed and lost both the second summer.
I do love the one that you posted on your first post. Or one from Tonny would be fun too. You know me, I'm not picky as long as it is a plant. LOL

Betty

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

just come on by Clemen... see what it is here you'd like... surely all of the bigger ones will be blooming... likely most of the little ones will also be blooming... this year... but there is a slight chance that some of the smaller ones might not... I've had a few that didn't bloom the first year during my time growing brugs..

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Bait bait, ha ha Mr. GH..You are BAD. Now since I am working everyday, need to convince Hubbie to go to the roof over the week end, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh maybe tomorrow or Sunday, are you up for it??

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

sure.. I've a busyday saturday.. metro gardening is meeting in my park on the corner.. and likely some up here.. and a roving CA friend is about Saturday also.. sunday I have a 1 pm rescheduled from todays rain...gardening remake consult.. I'm free from say 9- 12 sunday.. and after 3:30 here then...
OK..Clemen... this is a new lookat the videos..

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

oh.. you might want to place a bet on #7 in the derby... Papa Clem

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Well, I missed out! Congrats to the winner. Plants are just so addictive! It is a good thing that I live in zone 6 and don't have a GH yet. I love brugs.
Teresa in KY

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Gordon, those times unfortunately do not work for us this week end. SIght!

Anyway, looked at the plants you offered I think I would love bergkonign x doubledark rosella. Looks very pretty in the pictures. Have a good week end even if it is raining!

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

I have had them Dana I just would have more it in a warmer area

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Gordon, my Brug arrived Saturday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I'm potting him up today.
Veronica

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Welll Veronica.. that's good to hear.. did it unfold well upon opening it.. did it seem to have made the trip OK..
I've got to get the prize plants out to the other two that were winners.. perhaps tomorrow.. and get some pictures.. so I can post a pile of the European.. and fine American crosses on E-Bay...
Also.. I feel another contest comming on.. I'll have to formaly post it..but it seems it might be.. another ... how many ... contest.. like how many plants actually got included in the garden.. on my roof top...in the perimeter containers along the fence.. and the ones in individual pots/planters .. sprinkled through out.. the botanical research facility here..
it seems to have skipped being a garden.. but you can start figuring it out.. from these clues.. you did so well before..
So.. clue #1
it's under 96... minus the three prizes.. here.. and at least two winners in the next contest.. you can do the math.. well under it is...
clue #2 .. the look/ theme as far as the brugs go .. is a Brugmansia hedge..
A' La the hedge row brug plantings / wind breaks ...around the coffee fields in Panama.. or a pruned boxwood hedges of English/Irish castles
The other general look.. is a night time deal.. we've a lighting accent.. a sofe blue glow from under or behind all of the plantings.. along with the regular night time lighting.. kind of a 50's Miami.. X with SpaceMan Rock-a Billy from the same time frame.
Fifty might be the answer.. but I don't think I could fold that many in.... but I can't say.. as there's been no peliminary count .. There will be a new thread, to post answers.. and help divest myself shortly...

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Gordon, When I unpacked it the growing tip was bent at a 90º angle. It's a good thing I didn't tug on it to straighten it out because I would have broken the tip. The plant was nice and turgid. The leaves will straighten out in a few days. It might have been growing that way for a short while.

It was nice of you to include an extra gift. LOL! I sliced the side of the box open and reached in to cut the tape. Wow! ... a plant and a serenade too! The buzz gave me a scare. Turned out to be a small bee. It'll have to fly a long distance to get home!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

OH..thanksVeronica.. I'm always looking for feed back on packaging.. 20 people will approach it 25 different ways...
OH..sorry for thefright.. Ican't believe there wasa bee in it... there are so few here anymore..after the spraying one summer for west nile.. oh we're spraying at night..we won't hurt the bees..
I keep thinking I'll put out some humming bird feeders for them... and remove the bee guards.. but we've a number of things flowering now...guess I got a few to drop by... funny thing here.. is I have things flowering... that these bees would never have encountered... gong back thousands ofgenerations
too bad...thy would never accept him into a hive there.. I don' t believe...and he could never make it on his own..
welll good growing there... sure we'd all like Prize pictures when you have flowers next month

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

oh mercy i got to watch better where is new contes??i want one to bloom so bad. so i must try once more..lol. your wisteria is beautiful i tried 3 or 4 times from seed never a sprout so seeds i was sent must been old or?
