Bea, that is one cute Shitzu.
Gigit is a minature Schnauzer who needs her first real spring haircut. That is overdue just like most of the spring tasks this year!
Well, time to hit the yard for slug patrol.
Who Are Your Garden Helpers Part Two
Two thing Pix to help with the cat from He... Many strays are ferrell cats that haven't been neutered. Not neutered makes them very aggressive and dangerous to the cats. They carry Aids (FIV) and Leukemia (FELV). Both can be transmitted to your cats. I would catch him and have the Humane Soc Neuter him. Live traps are available from them. Mostly to stop his brave intrusion into the cats territory. The other thing is to place cat stool at the perimeters of your property and that would disuade the cat from coming into the yard. You may start a big problem with urine and etc in your cat house if you let him remain.
Julie….sounds like you have fun with your outdoor kitties too. The little clown is really cute. “In your face” sounds like what our outdoor would do if she had something to stand on. LOL
PNW….cute puppy!! And a gorgeous pond, how peaceful it looks. My mom can’t get out much in the yard much, too hard with the walker. So now I make up bright color pots for her that she can see from her table and from her favorite chair.
Bea…..another cute puppy and with sexy bangs!
Everyone have a pleasant day, doing whatever makes you happy!
Fluffy (the outdoor) giving me the look. Usually means feed me, sometimes means pet me (just a little).
pnw..I would of never guessed Gigit was a Schnauzer. I guess I am used to seeing them groomed short. She looks like a love bug!
Rj and Sally ...cute kitties!
My daughter ( who will kill me if she finds out I posted this picture while she is in her PJ's!) and Feisty Cat checked out the Koi this morning. Feisty was very curious about all the koi (dinner) but nervous about the water. She is pretty much an indoor cat.
That is a beautiful yard you have Bea.
Love all the kitties, pups and frogs.
Mtn. Girl, that is a beautiful pond
Thanks Willow..yours is beautiful too!
I'm in pond envy....sigh. Beautiful pics. Love that close up of Fiesty Cat.
Thanks for the advice, Sofer. I definitely do NOT plan to let the stray male cat remain. I was worried about diseases, etc already. I have never seen this cat before so I don't think he hangs around in this area, but I will be on the lookout and have a trap handy. I have a client who works with rescuing feral cats (although I'm not sure they consider they are being rescued). I'll also talk to her about it.
There's a feral cat spay/neuter clinic up here - let me know if you need info. I have a trap if you need to borrow one. It's so much better for these guys if they don't have to fight to mate.
I have read that feline colonies' hierarchies change quite a bit more often than canine pack hierarchies do. Shifting one thing in either, though (like adding a new cat to the mix) can set off a chain reaction until everybody knows where he/she belongs. I can see how adding this desperately hungry and feral guy into the combination would confuse everybody.
I hope whoever is injured is okay and am glad that you weren't hurt. Situations like that can be pretty scary.
Gigit is really cute.
Sally, Fluffy is a doll! And from the look, I can so imagine your description of her getting caught and not wanting help getting loose! She looks like a kitty that wants it "her" way!
Bea, Nice pics of both your daughter and Feisty. What is it about Mom's that motivates them to post embarrasing pics of their children? (For example, the one Mom posted of Lynn and I working on the e-wa deck.) It is a wonderful pic though!
We had an uncommon pair of "garden helpers" working in Grandma's yard yesterday...my Brother Ward (who avoids the garden when he can as he is blessed with horrible hayfever) and his dog Sunny. Sunny is a golden retriever mix, who still thinks that she should be a lap dog...which wasn't so great after she found Grandma's pond to play in! Amazing how much mud and yuck a long golden coat can absorb!
How funny...nothing like smelling fresh dug dirt! Cute pic Tilly!
PNW....that is one huge cat!! Beautiful and pretty puppy too.
RJ....yep, her way is the only way. LOL That lab is gorgeous, I can feel the need of a dog fix coming on. Oh, dear.
Tills....is that in the catnip family? LOL She's sure enjoying it.
Tilly, How cute! Maybe the Kiwi roots smell as good as the fruit does?
OK, I got to have my puppy fix again today. She is now officially "Phoenix", and she can come home with me in a couple of weeks. Dad is still nice enough to bring her and her brothers and sisters by about once a week to visit, but they are becoming a handfull to tote around! Can't believe how much the little chunk-a-munks have grown since just last week!
This is Phoenix....
A WHOLE box of AWWWW!!! Too cute!
I love puppies, but so glad I don't have the work of one now. Summer is a great time to have them out and about and getting into trouble with you. Phoenix and her siblings are darling.
RJ. They are all so darling. I bet it was hard to decide who to have as your forever dog!
Kathy, I remember how much work puppies are (it's been 8 years since I have had on under my care) and am kind of dreading that part, but spring/summer is the perfect time as I am outside all of the time, and so is DH. That gives her lots of time with us, and lots of room to play.
Bea, If I hadn't fallen in love with the puppies mother when my painter first got her, I would have had a heck of a time choosing. As it was, there was only one female pup that looked exactly like Willow, and so my choice was easy. All of them are absolutely adorable!
This is Willow, Phoenix's mom...don't mind the dirty nose...she was chasing rabbits.
How fun for her chasing rabbits. Mama is beautiful and I am sure Phoenix will grow up just as Beautiful!
May she house break quickly!
RJ....bet you can't wait to get that one home. Beautiful puppies!! Oh, I need a puppy fix.
Very cute new child Julie. I am fortunate to have a group of puppies to hug every week. Though I enjoy the adults as much. It is a good job. Right now I have a Jack Russell boarding where I am working that looks like my Sophie who died many years ago. She has been spoiled the last few days I have been there.
Your puppy is cute, cute!
Ohhhhh....puuuuuupiessssssss.....
G.
