Sympathy for other Countries' losses, too.

Chatsworth, GA(Zone 7a)

I've seen a lot of posts from many people in countries other than the USA, sending us condolences, sympathy and well wishing. I may have just not seen it, but I haven't seen anyone post their sympathy and condolences to the countries who have also lost people in the destruction of the World Trade Center. I would like to extend my sympathy, support and condolences to those people now. One life is as valuable as another, and while I realize that most of the fatalities and injured were probably American citizens, the others who suffered this terrible tragedy will be missed by family and friends in exactly the same ways. The mutual sympathy and support in this tragedy is staggering, and I wanted to make sure no one was left out.
My heart goes out to each and every family member around the globe who has suffered from this horrible occurance.
Martela

I agree...the attack on WTC has impacted the entire world. The saddness at the loss of loved ones goes well beyond the borders of the US. We should hold all peoples of the world in our prayers.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Thank you all. Those of us in other countries have all seen the lists of our own people missing in these disasters.
It's time to grieve as one. Not separately.

There are over 100 Italians unaccounted for. My neighbors constantly make me mist up. Even my supermarket has a big handwritten sign of support and grief for all Americans. My beloveds are accounted for.

Martela, Thanks you for the reminder. The last 3 members of my family accounted for were the "foreign students" from my sister's home. They were at school in Manhattan and could not be reached for hours. Many hours and prayers later, we learned that they were safe. This is a grieving time for the world, as individuals from the entire world were effected-personally.
