I don't want to start any debates or anything, I just need info. I've googled til I'm blue and can't find this out.

my Mom is currently living on my late Fathers GM pension...she is worrying herself sick thinking that if they go bankrupt she'll lose her pension therefore her major means of support.

Does anybody out there know so I can maybe ease her mind a bit??

HI, you can get a bit of info from GazetteXtra.com It is from Janesville WI where the plant closed. I typed in GM pension in the search. I hope it helps-don't know if they know what is going to ultimately happen, but looks like they will still get pension.
