Well DH and i stopped for feed at TSC and wouldnt ya know it, they had peeps..they had RR and golden comets..well those are my weakness, so i came home with 12..it was cheaper than sending for them, so since its chilly and damp, they are in the house by the wood burner..in about a week i'll put them in the coop with the divider so the big girls dont get to them yet..

I have some blue eggs to hatch on the 29th.. I got some of the lavender/blue/black split Ameraucana eggs.. I am so jazzed..
Tractor supply got me too. 9 baby ducks and 6 baby not sure fuzzy leg what the hecks.

well thats the only pic i had.those are my other girls..will get new pics here later..i have a love hate relationship with that store..i love to go there, but my DH hates to see me spend money!! lol

Hi Cindy! Had to let you know somehow i'm having trouble with this computer.
Can't seem to access my D-mail and am having trouble sending also. I have a computer guy comming over to look at it for me this thurs. I think it's just worn out.
I will click on something and the hour glass will appear and won't go away and after about 2-3 minutes a message appears and says having problem have to close and just goes blank. A mind of its own.LOL More chickies, such fun. I'll talk to ya when I get it fixed. Haystack

I don't even dare go to our feed store that has chicks.. There are 2 of them.. one in Stockton just advertised having Ameraucanas.. although I'm sure they are just EEs.. still so tempting!

Thank you Darling ZZ's I have lots of D-mail but can't get them to come up. This is so strange. I have been talking with photographer thru d-mail but can't get others to come up. Sometimes when scrolling from thread to thread the screen will not scroll so I click again. When that happens the hour glass appears and will not go away. After two or three minutes a sign shows up saying we are having problems and must close. The screen then goes blank. This computer is a rebuild and somebody is messing with me. LOL Haystack. I have a computer genius comming over thursday to take a look at it. Any one above my level is a genius. LOL Haystack.

I haven't been to the TSC in a few weeks but they didn't have any chicks. I didn't know they sold them. Our TSC is about 30 miles away so we only go when we are in town for the horse sale on Friday nights or the market on Saturday mornings. We go to Walmart then also if we need to. Try not to make too many trips and we like to get what we can in our little town. We have a Family Dollar and a Dollar General. Also have 2 grocery stores and a pretty nice pet store. There is a guy up the street who sells feed but his supply is very limited and it's not what we use so we have to go to town for that. We buy over a ton at a time so it lasts a couple of weeks.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH. TS has black ducks. OHHHHHHHHHHH. I did not buy any, but I wanted to really badly.
Hey Miss Jester, if you'll just saddle up that lil pony and ride over this way, I'll pay for the gas. Man I just love giving you flak. This is no flak, I have always had a genuine love for horses, I don't know a thing about them, or how to care for them, but when I was in Jr High every summer I would hitchhike over to Issaquah, a small farming community at the time. And I would find horses in the pasture and finally catch one and get on and hold on for dear life. Just dig in my heels and a hand full of mane. I was crazy but I survived. I thought I was Hopalong Cassidy.LOL.

You are more then welcome to come on out, I have 3 horses 2 on which I would put riders, the third is in training and I wont let anyone ride him yet, cept Billy... Hummmm If we take off now, managing 50 to 75 miles a day, I should be in WA by summer.... LOLThat sometimes Haystack is the best way to ride, no halter, no saddle, just let the horse take you away...
I made the mistake of going to... yes, the TS. They have the cutest baby ducks! The kids begged the whole way through the store. I stood firm and left with just the chickens food I went in for. It almost killed me. I feel like the man of steal!

I know!!!! I will have to get a pic of my DH's "I am very mad face" that says you will suffer until the cows come home. Then you may understand my help in saying no. I truely thought about whether or not he would know the difference between a duck and a chicken. Then I had to assume yes. :(
If TS sold cows, you could start and end your suffering all in the same trip. LOL

I really want a TS if they start selling cows, maybe I should check on opening one up here... Then I could satisfy my craving for the TS and the OCD factor I got from being on here...

Our TS store had an event yesterday. They had horses and ponies and a bunch of other exotic animals to boot. We got to pet wallabies and some "cody" animal that looked and acted like a pet raccoon. NO DUCKS!!! They were thankfully sold out. They were selling Cornish Rock chicks for 75 cents. and GComets for 50 cents. They must just want to get rid of them. The kids had fun.
That must have been a Kowadamunde (sp?). Sounds like a great day. I love to "meet" different kinds of animals.
Went to TS yesterday to get chich crmbles. They were out. They had 4 brooder bins. 3 were empty and 1 had about a dozen ducklings in it when we got there. When we left they were gone. I was sad that I missed out on the red sexlink pullets. The other chicks had been straight run but I'd have bought sexlink pullets.
I set my bator last night. I have a dozen GC mix eggs, 1 unknown big stock egg, 5 bantam eggs and 7 roundhead/hatch eggs. Hope I can keep the temp right this time. A good number of the chicks I have in the brooder look to be roos and we will eat them so I need some more pullets. I will sell the bantam and the game chicks. I almost bought a roo yesterday at the market. He was a yellow neck hatch. He was beautiful but he was wild. He was a 2 YO stag and had not been handled. That is an accident waiting to happen so I waited instead.
