I found this guy amongst some damaged daylilies. He doens't look like a common housefly, so I didn't know if anyone could tell me who he is and if he may be responsible for the damamge.

Although I cannot provide a definitive identification for this fly, it is extremely unlikely that it would be responsible for any damage to your daylilies. I think you could be right. I did find a slug out there yesterday. Thanks...beer out tonight. Its worth a shot.
