CLOSED: Strange green bug in my nasturtiums

Los Angeles, CA

Any idea what this big green bug that camouflages in perfectly with my nasturtiums could be? You can see the tip of my finger in the first photo for size comparison. Should I leave it or remove it or what?

(I am in Los Angeles.)

Thanks in advance mighty garden sleuths.

Nezara viridula, one of the stink bug family and an introduced pest species here in Australia and many other warm climates. I don't know if they will do a lot of damage to your nasturtiums but they make a mess of a vegetable garden if there are enough of them. Here's a link with more about them

This is a stink bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Pentatomidae). There are several species having an overall green appearance; yours could be the common green stink bug, Acrosternum hilare - see http://tinyurl.com/dc6kl9 for detailed information, including images of all life stages.
