April Flowers

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Bonnie,
Palamo came as a leaf. Sako came off ebay and was free to me from Helen. Confetti came off ebay. Do you want me to put leaves down for you? Better reply fast as sako is going out the door to live with Jim...LOL
Hugs,
Susan

Thanks all.I love it's color and it's very velvety.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

It just says April blooms so I have a catt orchid in lime green (very fragrant) with a lavender bottom petal you can't really see in the pic.......she needed more sun.....but she will bloom all summer

Have to share Aeschynanthus ' Tia Pink' one more time before the winds blows her away on the porch.........the winds took the poly off during the storm........

Had to show you a close up showing how the hot pink sticks out the top!

Gail - I think I have an Aeschynanthus something . . . do you think a small one would be ok hanging outside, if I put it in a place that would avoid all but the latest afternoon sun?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh yes, indeed. Mine has been outside without poly for over two weeks (the storm blew the poly away) and the biggest problem is not sun but wind.............mine could use some more sun....

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Maybe I'll be brave, and give it a shot next weekend, then. Do you think it will be ok in a clay pot, if I keep it watered? I've got all these hang-a-pots that I had in my back yard, and now that I'm running out of "floor" space, I'm starting to look up!

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

That is a beautiful plant Gail, Is that in the Gessie family?
Hugs,
Susan

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Susan, she is a aeschynanthus or lipstick plant.................not even registered........someone in Florida hybridized her and a nursery man in Texas found her in Florida.............

By the way, Stella is on her way to your house............along with Margaret........the funny part is that Jim wanted a leaf from Margaret and I told him he would have to get it from you in a few days (LOL)

**edited to say that jannich wanted a leaf from Stella but she is already packed, Susan...........

LOL I just sent Jim's box out but I forgot a few so will have to send again... Thank you so much Gail... I love Stella and I don't have her....I don't have the other one either... I can never get lipstick plants to grow well for me... I am running out of babies that are doubles but do you want any leaves? I am putting leaves in a plastic bag today to ship to Jan tomorrow as I hate to label the stupid bags with name...LOLOL I am lazy huh? Seren is not a leaf I can send as her leaves are few now and they are kinda turning yellow... I am not sure what I am doing wrong except maybe to much fert? Between Jim's leaves and some I got off ebay I have allot coming up that I don't have and never heard of...LOL But then again I have not heard of allot of them... Do you know anyone selling Victorian Lace or Lemon Frills? Those are two I really want....
Thank you once again Gail.
Susan

Well then I will wait until I get your plant and then send Jan cuttings...LOL How that Jan?? I have not been cutting my leaves so I could share but some of them in 4 inch pots are falling over and I had one in a five inch pot do the same...
So I have to cut them here soon....

Ok I forget how to do a bold letter here can someone help please?
Sue

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

< b > without spaces, to end < / b > again without spaces

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

boldmmmm---It works! How do you do italics?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I didn't know how to make bold letters either!
Turtle chi.........I don't know anyone with Lemon Frills or Victorian Lace....I ordered one about 4 months ago from lady on ebay called exotica but the plant was only 2 leaves and she croaked on me!!!

I am in no hurry but would jump up and down for just a few leaves of plants I don't have........Susan.........love to stick those leaves!!! (LOL)

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Same thing as bold, except with an i instead of a b. Same for underlining - you use a u.
see?

I receved a Lemon Frills not too long ago - the biggest leaf was 2", and was broke off when I took it out of the box. That bit of leaf didn't survive me, but I'm hoping the stub & teeny leaf that is in the cup will make it . . .

Great photos of beau-ti-ful plants! Tia Pink is a special aeschynanthus. The only pink one I've ever seen.

Talk about special...from the link you posted, Gail, look at this Fernwood's Minuet variegated.
