Pelle, your Goldfinch is cute!
Burn, your Crow looks lonely. Cute photos.
Ava, love the ice sculptures.
Margaret, your sweet little wren is beautiful.
Nanny, great one of the hawk.
Reddirt, love that sparrow too.
More Orioles are showing up here. This male is a Hooded. I love their bright colors.
Daily Pictures Volume # 199
That Hooded Oriole pic is awesome!
I love orioles as well. Had some at my old house, but I just don't have enough large trees here. I have seen some across the road near our clubhouse. I put up a feeder anyway. Have an orange, grape jelly and mealworms out for whatever comes along.
I have lots of trees and only saw one last year he came for a few minutes as if to say hi and that was it, its the hummers that stay from spring to fall I guess I am just at the right elevation for them
A Redpoll eating breakfast this morning had to dig for sunflower seeds, in the fresh snow. March was officially colder than normal. This is the second spring in a row that didn't arrive when expected! We have now experienced more than a year, of below normal temperatures. I guess this must be a result of global warming.
LOL ! global warming! I've had to turn the heat up too.
The redpoll is so cute!
Hi Ava, we never get the volume of birds you do. However, we have the most Redpolls ever. But, only one pair of Pine Siskins has been coming here. That's a nice picture of a Redpoll & a Pine Siskin together. Did Carol take it at you place? We keep thinking about coming down for a visit, but have been waiting for some decent weather.
Gary
Great shots everyone!
Excellent oriole pic duc!
Ava, that is a nice shot!
Cute one scic!
Yes Gary, that pic was by Carol Griswold. She comes out here quite often to photograph birds as I have a great variety of birds that feed here. As you know, my place is on the birdwatchers tour, and she brings people out here all the time to watch and photograph birds. She has some great camera equipment and all I have is a little digital.
Red bellied woodpecker came back today. He must have just discovered us.
Great Pix all. Time to head off to the next…
