anone know this strep?

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh shucks! Now I have to cut off blooms from my two baby streps. They both have sent up two bloom spikes. How long should I cut off the blooms? Right now they are in 3oz solo cups. I don't think they are big enough to pot up to larger pots.

not saying they will all bloom them selves to death but some do,

I'm glad you said something Jim! I had just been noticing that B. Goose Egg was mega blooming, but not displaying much new leaf growth. I removed all but one bloomstalk this morning--it is still a baby!

once the flower is open dont bother but as its sending up new ones get rid of them,
it takes energy to make new flowers not much to substain ones thats already bloomed

Jim,
Thank you so much once again for your advice! I constantly pinch back outdoor plants for the same reasons you mentioned, but it honestly never occurred to me to do that with a Strep.

LOL!
Bonnie, I think the plant is Happy Time(s) & I probably sent you the leaf.If it is a nice big flower & good bloomer, that 's a clue.
There are 2 plants in the strep info photos named Happy Time, but neither one looks like yours. Mine has an S on the end.
But I am laughing at Jim! That was SOOOO slick! Send me the plant & I will ID it!

Jim as soon as North dakota becomes "civilized" as to th weather I can send you a leaf of this, or even a plant if you prefer. I have been patiently waiting for you to become UN snowbound & send me some leaves!
