While doing my 'Spring Cleaning' in the backyard today, I found these three seeds...or maybe berries under some leaves.
They are a grey/aqua color...about half inch long...and bright orange inside.
At first I thought they must be artificial...the woman that used to live here had alot of fake plants around...even outside, but when I cut off the tip of one, I realized they were real.
There may be some sort of seed inside, but until I find out what they are, I'd rather not compromise them.
Any ideas on what they might be?
The only thing nearby would be Palms.
Thanks!
Seeds found in Florida...need ID please
Lellie: Here is a link to a seed id data base with photos. Maybe you will find it there.

If you suspect a palm, you might want to contact palmbob.

They look like the unrippened grapes or whatever those berries are they turn purple and fall off the trees in Tampa area right on the bay. Mullet Bay.
