Rainy day rescue

Dallas, GA(Zone 7b)

Has anyone ever cared for a injured baby squirrel? I found this little girl today soaking wet and cold about to be eaten by our cat. Unfortunately it was to late for her sibling. We think the rain and wind may have knocked the 2 out of their nest and our Tabby took advantage of their situation. The poor little thing was lying on her back with her front paws up over her face shrieking. I brought her in and warmed her up and could find no signs of kitty damage. She was in shock for a couple of hours but finally took some milk from a dropper. She is drinking well now from the dropper, I am giving her goats milk with Karo syrup and put some millett to see if she would eat. Very sweet and will cuddle but appears to have a broken back leg or maybe paralysis? Our local vet said they euthanize baby squirrels injured or not. Any suggestions? Right now we are calling her Rain
