My 'new' plants and some old ones have an infestation of very small, about 1/8", of a small worm and have seen some very small flies, but they seem to stay on the plants. They eat holes on leaves and edges. Did treat with Bayer's 3 in 1 ( insecticide, disease and fertilizer). Hope it works! Am also starting to spray leaves with water + a little drop dawn liquid...All plants are still inside home, too cold to put out in MA. and hope to save some to put out when it is cooler!

If you want to know what your critters are, and cannot take a clear photo to submit, I suggest that you contact your nearest office of the University of Massachusetts' Cooperative Extension Service - see http://tinyurl.com/c63ox9 - Extension offices usually are a good starting point when dealing with most household/yard/garden pest problems.
