Debra, I have never been able to sprout an osteospermum seed, I bow to your highness--lol--it is one of my favorite flowers too. Please tell me your secret !!
Sandra

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Sandra, I did not sprout these, I ordered these.. the seeds I sprout are all sprouted the same way.. I use vermiculite and MG potting soil mix. heavy on the vermiculite and put in plug trays and set on a lid tray that holds water, fetize the water from the bottom, mist dailey three times a day, keep under good bright lights and warm area.. works for me like a charm.. these are seeds that sprouted for me in two days

I saved the dead heads all summer, and they are in my " mix " from last years blooms.. maybe they will sprout from the broadcastig of those this spring. if it ever gets to be Spring.. drifts are at 5 ft of snow right now and still snowing
