Christi, I love the spring at your house!
I think your TML will soon flower, as I've seen one about 2-3ft flowering it's little blooms off! And it also had seedpods, so it must have been flowering last spring too.
Hugs,
Alexandra
Spring has Sprung
Alexandra, I had forgotten you were in Texas, too.
OK, that's it, I gotta get back to Texas!!
Good info here on the TML. This is my first and I really didn't know much about it's habits. Will definitely leave the little 'strings' now that I know!! b/c Pat, I'm like your sister--I cleaned everything up this spring as I always do so I'm sure I trimmed off all the 'dead' on my TML not knowing. So I'll just look forward to next year.
My MIL had bought this one and I knew I'd seen pretty blooms before in pics but had never done any research on it, so I didn't realize she was planting a TREE there... hmmm. Oh well, it'll be a gorgeous addition to our landscape. I LOVE purple too ;-)
Beautiful blooms everyone! Kinda wish we could do a 'garden tour' to see each others' gardens.
Cheers!

This weather is truly nutso. Friday we were near 80, at 4PM wind came up and temps went down eventually to 37. Yesterday you could have flown without an airplane the wind was so high. Last night back down to the mid 30's. Here at only 10:30 AM it is already upper 50's and climbing fast....yay! No Wind. Time to do the garden tour and see what all is damaged. Didn't cover or take one thing inside after pampering it all winter. Some of these things really push the zone. LariAnn says lots of plants survive what we are told "they can't".
Later, Gator.

Good morning, Alex.
Such a mess it left! Glad that wind was gone today. Gave us a chance to get outside with the 4yo GNephew, he spent the night and day with us.
