Sure was fun though wasn't it? Coming home with some new plants after attending the show is a great day. You got some nice gessies to grow and remember it by.

Goldleaf,
It was one of the best days I have had in a very long time!! I don't go much of anyplace, mostly due to health, and that was the first Av and Gessie show I have been to in years.I get so excited to have even one new plant and watch it grow and get it's first bloom. Now I'm just overwhelmed ^_^.

Cool...in this case, I think "overwhelmed" is a good thing! Have you considered joining an AV club?

i just emailed bill price & asked about chirita cynthia, i had no idea it is a sport of chitrita kazu, as he is having a problem with his reverting back to kazu. that was intresting.

That is interesting, mrsbonnie! Thanks for checking on it. The good thing about Kazu is at least in my experience is it produces multiple crowns easily. Chimeras = unstable.

ibrabec, I can feel your joy in your words. I'm so happy you had a great day at the show and now you are back to growing again. When I went to the maavs convention I was the same way ^_^.

WOW, Syrumani, thank you so much for taking us on a tour! The plants are gorgeous!!

Thanks, Sally!

Bonnie,
That's great information! No wonder no one can find it.
Jan,
I considered joining the local society, but the meetings are too far away.Besides we have our own little society right here ^_^. I used to subscribe to the AV,The Gloxinnian and the Indoor Light Gardening magazines and was fortunate enough to live near someone who ran a Gessie shop.Overwhelmed is a great thing in my case.I am loving it!

What would we all do without our gessies and other plants?
Lin gave me a sign hanging in the kitchen a couple of years ago that says:

Life is a choice
Cleaning House or Gardening
See ya in the garden!!!

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Gail,
I love it!! Housework is sooo dull compared to plants.....or maybe it's just I'm lazy when it comes to doing things I don't want to do..LOL.

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

I love that sign. Where is our gal pal, Lin, lately?

How about this for rationale? Don't vacuum. Save money on electricity for grow lights!

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Works for me GL.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Works for me, too, Lynn!!!

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Isn't it funny that we would all much rather take care of every little plant and leaf, than vacuum, dust anything other than a plant..LOL,and totally ignore boring things like cleaning closets and cupboards. ^_^
