Rolling in the green

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

My first attempt at growing potted lilies this early. The sight of green feels so good compared to the blah browns & grays of winter...

So far so good

They look fantastic! I have never grown in pots....how many bulbs do you put in a pot?

What type are the lilies and how big is the pot?...Lookin' good!

These are asiatic seedlings from 1.5 years ago. I am not sure how many are in the pot. I set it out in the garage over winter and they all seem to have done well. The pot is about 12" wide at the top.

Those are looking really good! It looks like you could get some blooms off those puppies. :)

I should have known they were Asiatics...duh...
They look like some nice healthy toddlers which will produce some blooms this year.

And your own babies....what could be better?

Speaking of babies , I am so glad it is getting warmer out because my 2 1/2 year old is getting more active legs!
It is always intriguing as to what will appear from seedlings. I think 2 or 3 of these bloomed last year.
Unfortunately my potted 'Madame Butterfly' turned to mush :*( It had like 16 blooms last year in my house.
