HI everybody. I was wondering how I would harvest the seeds from honeysuckle. It grows wild around here and I see little green 'balls' amongst the leaves and flowers and I was wondering if those are the seeds. If so, do I have to wait for them to turn brown first or can I pick them green and dry them myself? I also have trumpet vines that grow wild here too. I see big green seed pods hanging off the vines and I have the same questions, Do I have to wait until they turn brown and start to open them selves or can I pick them green and dry them, maybe split them open and get the seeds out to dry? I'd like to harvest a lot of these seeds to trade and share. Anybody have advice?
honeysuckle/trumpet vine seeds
Don't have exp with honeysuckle but yes you have to wait until it turns brown on the trumpet vine. Brenda
On most all seeds you have to wait until the pods turn brown. Then the seed is mature. Debby
