Yes I have special needs Lynn. Any Micro brews you have with a dark roast of grains and a heavy scent of Hops. I like it at 33 degrees F and the glass must be Iced. I like it delivered with a bag of roasted and salted peanuts. I will be in my lawn chair Saturday at the fire. Thank you.
This is where my wife usually delivers my special needs. LOL
HAVE LIST / WANT LIST FOR PNW ROUNDUP EXCHANGE
We all can't wait to attend to your special needs! LOL
If I were your wife, I'd be delivering your special needs with a swift kick to the low point. ;)
Wow! Sorting through this thread has been something. I have added names after my "Have" list from what I could find. If anyone else wants or has asked for stuff, please let me know. My post is 6507250
I would like chives, violets (if you have any left after the others), and tall phlox. Also veronica if you have enough.
Thanks!
I just Edited my list.
Heidi at Dragonfly Nursery said she would love to see us on Sunday. Who would like to go there after breakfast at Rarejem's and PNWMountaingirl's? She also said Heronswood is OPEN!!!!
Thanks, Steve. I have never been to Heronswood, and am looking forward to the opportunity.
You might as well stay Sunday night, as well. Lots of wine!!! I am going to post a picture of your sleeping quarters in a few minutes. I have to download it from the camera.
Hey I'm game, its home for me LOL . I'll lead the pack.
Hey I want that, I can put the Jeep right under it. Just being funny LOL.
I found something that I would love to have, but 70 bucks is a little much now that I have a car payment. Its a pop up gazebo and my Jeep will fit right under it. Tail gate party and it's bright Red wonder how I can pull this off. My own room with nature, more like I will freeze to death LOL
Oh by the way Dan goes nowhere near Herronswood. I meant his house and new garden. He is so rarely home I have only been there to see Robert.
I'm definitely up for all those new Sunday acitivities.
Nice bike Steve. We were looking at BMW's a couple of years ago. We ended up getting the Goldwing from Big John McCarthy (Ultimate Fighters referee). Now I'm torn between riding my Heritage Softail Deluxe or lounging in the "Queen's seat" on the back of the Wing.
Here's a terrible pic of my ride. It is so buried in the garage right now.
Some with different colors.
So, the rest of the week I am working and getting ready for the roundup. I have been a tragic failure with cuttings this year so if I owe you a rooted cutting of something, you have about a 50% chance of getting it. Some croaked while I was away, others just did not take. The roses in particular did not do well. However, cuttings can be tried again and I've layers some stuff I have not checked yet. There are PLENTY of plants that need homes so please do not plan to leave empty handed. Things grew out of control while I was gone.
I am excited to report that we saw Orcas on about 6 occasions during the trip. We saw them before we even saw land after crossing the Strait of Juan de fuca (it was very foggy), and then they were the last thing we saw as we started back across the strait 2 days ago. I have some great photos. Mike will put up a picassa website and I'll post it for anyone who is interested.
Oooh, those are gorgeous photos, Pixy. I'd love to see the ones of the Orcas, too. :)
Welcome back, by the way! :)
Welcome back! Glad you had a great time. Now back to the grind....
Don't worry about the cuttings. I think we all lost a lot of baby plants due to the weather.
It looks beautiful Pix. I wish I were out kayaking now. I have to wait till the end of Sept. See you at the RU. Love those mosses and the sedums? Is that what they are?
Gee Steve, your mean LOL
Love the bikes, but I like hers more ^_^
Glad your back Pix, great pics
A trip Heronswood is always a treat..the gardens are exquisitly inspiring. Soferdig say "Hi" to Dan from those of us whom miss him. He is not living on the property now is he?
I have got an escallonia "pink princess" that needs a good home. I can bring it to the RU if anyone is wanting to adopt it.
Bring it, I am sure many will want it. It is a nice shrub.
Great sailing pic Pixy! Love the sedums and moss as well.

Linda, Me Me Me Please. I would love to give it a home, got the spot already picked out.
tillysrat- tis yours.. I must warn you it is pot bound!
Thank you.
Well Melissa I think what tells the tale above with you sailing is the empty glass, tilt of the photo, and everyone leaning with a smile on their faces. LOL
Yes Dan has nothing to do with Herronswood anymore. It would be too painful for he to visit it. Their new garden is quite beautiful and I havent gotten hold of them to see if we could visit.
What are you waiting for?!?!? Give them a call this minute!
Gwen, you're having dinner with him and Roy on the 5th. Maybe then you can drop Steve's name and ask about a visit for us. :-)
I have always tried to respect their time and know they would always say yes. I thought to call yesterday but had no time. Hopefully today will be in control. Dan is rarely there so we will see.
Katie, there will be 5 million people there on the 5th. I want the private tour and intro!
Steve, this is no time to be respectful. Call now and be pushy. Tell them we'll come bearing gifts. Do they like chocolate?
Last call for Rainier strawberries. I'm going out to dig them up today. Gwen, how many do you want? I have many babies and many teenager plants.
Anybody else??
I'd love to have a few strawberry plants, please! I have an empty strawberry pot just begging to be planted. :)
Maury, I'll take as many as you want to give.
Hey, Steve. When you talk to them let them know that I'm always up for a little yard work in return for the introduction and tour . . .
MHF/Lynn/Pony:
So sorry to disappoint, but I will not be able to bring any H.'Lemon Queen' with me tomorrow. it is just reaching its blooming peak & getting close enough for digging access is not going to happen.
I will most likely divide in another month, depending on the weather. If you need to wait until spring, I can heel in the divisions & have them ready for you at the earliest swap next spring, which I am assuming, there will be.
I will keep you posted.
