I've ordered some seeds, that I hope, some day, may become bonsai if all goes well :-). Mostly because I can't afford to buy them all as growing plants, so I figured seeds were, if nothing else, cheaper. There are two ficus, F. microcarpa and F. pumila, a dwarf weeping Calistemon, aka Bottlebrush, a Dwarf Pomegranate [Nana], and also two Leptospermums, Scoparia rosea and the other's name escapes me at the moment. I've read that L. scoparia is reasonably easy to germinate, but I believe the figs and pomegranate can be rather problematic and I can't find any information on Calistemon. Anyone tried to grow any of these, or have some advice to offer ? The seeds aren't here yet, not sure just when they will arrive, but should be soon, and it's supposed to be fresh seed and I don't know if any of it can be stored. Actually, I'd appreciate any information on storage too, if anyone has any. I won't have room to grow all the seeds that are coming, not all at once. Though I suppose I could trade some of them, if any one is interested.
