I received this message ,like a chain letter, and gave it a second thought b/c it sounded too neat to pass up.It suggested wearing something red/wht and blue on Thursday in honor of those innocent victims of this terrible tragedy. And to show that we stand strong alongside our country with a circle of prayers. That God may ease the pain of the victims families on the loss of their loved ones. And that there will be no more horrific terrorist acts.Jane
In Honor of the victims and our Country
My emails have suggested we all fly our American flag. I happen to have one, and after buying a bracket tomorrow, I plan to fly it in the proper times.
Good idea. What a tribute.
Remember to take your flags in at dusk unless you plan to have lights on it. It is considered unproper and disrespectful to leave your flag out at night without proper lighting. Great idea! I live on a military base and flags are a very common and PROUDLY displayed at all times
Thanks, for the reminder, bossyhummer... I live with an ex-army sargent, and often get tips on the 'proper' display of our flag! There IS a storm flag that can be flown in bad weather, but my 3' x 5' flag can only be flown sun-up to sun-down in good weather.
I fly the flag everyday. It's something my Dad started when I was a little girl. Nobody sees it but us, but that's ok, God sees it :-) God Bless America! vic
I have one single candle burning in my window. Light means life, hope and strength and is an indication of our respect for those that have lost their lives. It means comfort to those who will never see their loved ones again and it is a token of solidarity for freedom and decency that no-one can take away from us!!
Whether the U.S. flag is flown in daylight or night time,it is the symbol of our country .To me ,representing a united land and a rememberance to all that have lost their lives in the previous wars and now in recent years, the terrorist attacks. And I would leave it up, even at night, to show my love for my country! God does not close his eyes even at night! He is always with us!Jane
