Well the fact that it is gone now makes me think nothing is wrong.

May the luck of Irish fill your pockets and your heart.
lol- I seen that gull at that row of bars in Santa Cruz! It was 1991 and I was crawling down the street.....

lepracauns - they're everwhere.

AH tis a St Patricks Day gull for sure!! LOL!!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Love it dirt! Hope I see one!

Dellrose, I hope Mrs. Ed is right too. Here's a bit more hope. I'm sure that wings can break in different ways and the bird would carry it differently, but here's a pic of a hawk that does have a broken wing. Looks different eh? He was smack dab in the center of the very busy rest area in Texas Canyon, Arizona. Some workers -- I thought landscapers or maintenance at the time, but could have been something else -- anyway, they were super cool and were busy trying to save the hawk. They'd put orange cones all around to keep people at a distance, and they had a rescue operation on the phone. Hope it lived.

My Yellow-bellied sapsucker from sunday!!

Hawk picture- tried to find one in a timely fashion of one of the hawks here in a simular
pose sunning itself. I thought it was eating something or hurt till it flew up and landed on
a wood fence and spread its wings and tail again.
Hope that's all thats wrong.
BTW- love all the action - pheasants and blue birds and doves and all
have a good day.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Elphaba...wow...that poor Hawk...I hope he made it all right. I don't think I would have paid much attention to this Hawk except for the fact that it didn't leave the ground. But it could have been that it had it's breakfast and didn't want to let it go as Mrs. Ed suggested or possibly sunning itself as dirt suggested. I watched for it all morning and didn't see or hear it again so hopefully it was a false alarm. Thanks for the ID Resin.

Dirt...I love Santa Cruz...that old hippie community!! I would say you could still spot some of those green gulls!! LOL!

Nanny I'm still waiting for the return of the Sapsuckers.

Here is a bad pic of an Eastern Phoebe...they returned last week and I am hoping they nest in the barn again.

Dellrose: LOL! I believe you're right. They were still there when I was there.
You know, it was hard enough to be irish for one day much less those poor
souls who have a lifetime.

Flicker on its round.

Good Morning.

Wanted to tell you, Love the feathers in the beginning of the thread.
So Vibrant!

We watched some cardinals and Robins "hunking" around.
Can't say I have ever really noticed, or maybe thought they were mate catching.

Still enjoying your bluebirds...
They are just so sweet.

...Yesterday, I showed you the female Cardinal.
Well it was the wrong photo so today is the one i actually wanted to share.

Although, I guess we can never view too many birds huh?

Wonderful pics everyone. i was looking at your humpbacked Cardinal, dellrose, and it made me think of a Cardinal my Aunt Letty has in her yard that she calls Peg Leg Pete because he only has one leg. This is his second year to visit her yard and he brought a mate back this year.

Marlton, NJ

Nice pics guys!

Seed your right!
