Joshua Tree, CA(Zone 8b)

EYES I HOPE YOU DONT MIND A DUPLICATE POST. I JUST WANT TO HEAR FROM OUR FREINDS. I spoke to several people that had relatives that were firefighters called to the disaster just as the attack happened. And to some that were waiting for word, of their loved ones who worked in the World Trade Center.

HI Michele

Lastest Update on my nephew is He got to rest for a while and is now back digging for 8 hours. They are working on pile 15 stories high. He said it is rough but they are doing ok. Their biggest concern is the 2 buildings that are stable and fear they may come down before you know without warning. Thanks for your concern

Hi Michele...thanks for asking. Trish from Southeastern PA.
This has been a terrible loss for all of us, personally and as Americans. My prayers and sympathy go out to the families, workers and loved ones of the innocent victims...I am deeply saddened. As a side note...To those people who have emailed me in the last 3 days wanting trades, and I also have 2 seed trades to send, please allow me a bit of time to gather myself from the numbness of this senseless tragedy. My immediate family is safe, and we do have some which commute to New York city...everyone is safe. As a firefighter household, my heart is heavy for my husband and the loss of his fallen "brothers" and friends. My DH is also on the standby list with his firefighter platoon to help with the efforts in New York. God Bless America and all of her wonderful people.

I called Will Creed's house yesterday..all is well.I am still in shock, otherwise I would be asleep now!I still don't know what friends i've lost, but I have been out of touch for 11 years,so some people have moved on.

Still wide awake,Gwist

I am glad to hear that Will is safe (I've seen him around the boards so much that I was concerned when he didn't say anything the past few days). My thoughts and prayers go to those of you who have loved ones affected by this. Thanks tamlamb for reminding all of us of how hard this has been for the rescue workers. Your nephew is doing such important work, but I'm sure it does take a serious emotional and physical toll.
