Buckley is far from Seattle? Its only one county away, and its closer than Mount Rainier! Not sure if we can make it, but I will stay in touch. Some of it depends on how many kids are going to be there. Ty would hate to be the only kid there. I mean seriously bored almost 5 year old, truly a sad and demonically possessed too.
PNW Round Up Aug 29- 30
I'm still working on my gang (14, 11, 8 and DH). It may just be me. We're trying to nail down football (U of MI) game weekends now as it's a 3 day trip with lots of planning up front. I'm working on animal arrangements either way. I have a 'new' garden. Perhaps some hostas and/or bearded iris to share but that's it. Might have bushels of veggies that need eating if all goes well with the garden.
In case you missed it, there is a more current thread for the PNW Round Up: It will provide a lot more information than this one.
Also, for those of you "city" people, the Round Up is a easy 40 minute drive from Federal Way (where RareJem and I work, and approximately an hour from the airport (just to give you some perspective of distance.) Lynn has graciously offered some accommodations for those who will find the distance unmanageable.

I think that is kinda funny Seattle/Buckly. I'm coming from Poulsbo. Thats a long way. But what to I know. Steve is even further.
You can make it ^_^
Using Google maps:
From Port Orchard and Vashon it's about 50 miles.
From Poulsbo, it's about 65 miles.
From Woodinville, it's about 60 miles. (1.5 hours)
From Whidbey Island, it's about 80 miles. (2 hours)
From Vancouver, WA, it's about 150 miles (2.5 hours)
From Salem, OR, it's about 200 miles (3.5 hours)
Not so bad, really, for an overnight trip.
Great job kathy, to cool
I was going to get around to it. to find out which was easier driving around or the boat.
Mary, here you go. Just click on the link. I've put in general locations, but you can add exact addresses and click on directions to get door-to-door addresses:

Also, the poppies you gave me are blooming up a storm this year. THey're outstanding. I'm amazed at how well they did over the winter. They stayed evergreen, even with the snow and freezing temperatures. I don't really know my poppies, but I think they are Papaver orientale 'Brilliant'.
I'm glad they did well for you, and you enjoy them. I told you they where hardey. Mine have gotton so big and the bed has been Soo neglected but there are blooming. I need a major weed work party, but have no time to plan it. sad
Thanks for the link
Hugs
Kathy, you forgot one
From Pennsville, NJ 2844 miles if I take I 94
2960 miles if I take I 80
Awwwwww - it's awful to think that you're so far away from us!!! Well, if you change your mind and your time is miraculously freed up, at least you know which Interstate to take. :-)
^_^
oops
Velveteena - did you mean far away as in distance or time?
It does seem a long way off to me, as it will occur at the end of our summer, & spring has barely arrived!
Yes, a long way off in time! And now I've had to miss this grand event. It seems everything always collides on one week-end, doesn't it? Pictures, please.!
Velveteena - go to the PNW forum. There is a thread with lots of pics.
I think it's called 'the party's over'...
