Seed Tapes, lot of work, worth it ?

Frankfort, KY(Zone 6a)

It's raining and muddy out side so I made some Seed Tapes.
Started with these items :

Next, took the TP (toilet paper) cut to length and folded in half the long way.

And then, fold over the TP.....OH did I say to 'Turn off the paddle Fan'

Gota do something with it now so I rolled the TP with seeds inside around a can and taped it.
...
Here I cut a stril of poster board 1/2 width width of the TP

Soak in water....with H2O2 Hydrogen Peroxide...don't ask how much, maybe a cap full to a 32 oz.
I let it set until I finished my beer, maybe 10 min.

Unroll the 'tape' on the 'dirt' (some do not like that word) and flip over, using the cardboard strip wrapped with the TP...maybe I didn't make that clear earlier.

Cover with....I used peat moss.

Cover with P moss and then a row down the middle of seed not soaked in H2O2.
We shall see , who knows my rabbits may have carrots yet.
Question is Nantes Coreless Carrots a Heirloom ?

I have one very small green, something poking through, will keep a watch.

Carrots planted 15th, started poking out 20th and this was take today.
Doesn't show very well in this pic but it looks like the seeds not treated with H2O2 are coming up also.

yeah!

Nice experiment you have going. Looks like your using a window box. If so that is a good idea. I have heavy clay soil that carrots don't care for. Other than a raised bed (which I don't have) I haven't been able to grow carrots.

I also have little luck growing them in the garden. I tried this and will pull the carrots when they are young. Almost every seed grew, and the seed soaked in H2O2 did not sprout any earlier . I also like to grow radish this way, spacing the planting dates.

Do you thinkit was worth the extra work?

Frankfort, KY(Zone 6a)

NO , I will not try, do it again, It was a rainy day here and I wanted to see if H2O2 would make a difference in the sprout rate and it did not.
When I sow the seeds outside , in a week or so, I will just drop them as evenly as I can and when I thin them I'll feed them to my rabbits.
Almost nothing goes to waist here. ^_^
