Hello,
I'm a Master Gardener from Seattle and we are moving to our retirement home in northern New Mexico. I've acquired seeds from a fir tree I want to grow on our property down there. Its called the Spanish Fir (Abies Pinsapo); its distinct spiky, stiff needles stand out from the branches and I really like the look of this distinct tree which will be in contrast to our Pinions, Junipers and Ponderosa pines.
Since we are moving from "low and wet" to "high and dry" and since I have done no progating of trees from seed, I really could use some experienced help in this matter. There may be some good information on the Internet, but the combination of propagation and movement makes for a complex situation and I wish to do this project right the first time!
Thank you in advance for the help you may give me in this matter.

propagating trees from seed
Hi Geneso,
Perhaps posting your question to the Trees forum would get more answers. More people hang out there than here. This forum is for help with the PlantFiles database. Here is a link to the Trees & Shrubs forum: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/tas/all/
