Qualifying eggs as "organic" is very difficult, since everything the pullet eats from the moment she hatch has to be certified as organic and pastured eggs would not necessarily be unless you had your pasture certified (no pesticides/herbicides etc). At least in CA it means jumping through a lot of hoops. It is probably easier to certify eggs from caged hens as organic...which is sad.
